Ratings & Trust Signals
Hokai surfaces trust signals to help you evaluate tools. This article explains what we show and how to interpret it.
What We Show
- Health score — In My Stack, a score reflecting how well the tool is maintained (updated info, active development, etc.)
- Compliance badges — SOC 2, SOC 2 Type II, Enterprise
- Pricing clarity — Free, Freemium, Paid. Transparent pricing is a trust signal.
- Data freshness — When we last verified or updated info
What We Don't Do
We do not use affiliate-driven rankings. We do not boost tools that pay us. Our signals are based on real data: verified info, compliance status, and user reports.
How to Use Trust Signals
- Compliance — If you need SOC 2 or similar, filter by compliance and check badges.
- Health — In My Stack, low health may mean outdated or unmaintained; consider replacing.
- Pricing — Clear pricing is a positive signal; opaque pricing often means "contact sales."
The Bottom Line
Trust signals are inputs, not verdicts. Use them with your own evaluation and context.
