Privacy & Data Handling
Hokai does not sell your data. We are transparent about what we collect and what we do with it.
What We Collect
Account info — Display name, email, password (hashed). Used for authentication and account management.
Profile data — Job title, industry, budget, technical level. Optional. Used to personalize Smart Match and improve recommendations.
Smart Match session data — Your conversation and the resulting brief and stack. Stored to improve the system and support future features like session history. We do not use your conversations to train external AI models.
Usage data — How you use the platform. Used to improve the product and fix issues.
What We Do Not Do
- Sell your data — We do not sell user data to third parties
- Share for advertising — We do not share your data with advertisers
- Train external AI on your conversations — Your Smart Match sessions are not used to train models outside Hokai
Data Processing
We use industry-standard practices for storage and transmission. Data is encrypted in transit. We work with providers that meet our security and privacy standards.

Export and Delete
You can export your data and delete your account from Settings → Data & Privacy. Export gives you a copy. Delete removes your account and associated data.
